A Year in the Life of A Philly PR Girl

Today might seem like your standard Thursday, but, for me, this day marks one year of personal and professional growth in my role as a contributing writer for one of Philadelphia’s most prestigious public relations companies.

Exactly one year ago today, I wrote my first piece for Philly PR Girl.

Covering Philly’s local hotspots, where to watch the Mayweather fight, and even how to center your chakras while drinking wine, it’s been a year full of fun and interesting experiences with a team of ladies who have become more than just my clients and colleagues- but some of my dearest friends.

Kate Marlys, owner of Philly PR Girl, is someone who I respect and absolutely adore. Her mentorship and faith in my talent has proven invaluable, and I’m eternally thankful for the opportunity to write for such a respected blog. With more than 6,000 followers, the blog has allowed me a platform to share some insight into what it means to be a young, female entrepreneur in the City of Brotherly Love.

Last year on this day, I predicted that Revel would make a long-awaited comeback, and, one year later, the casino reopening seems indisputable. Today, as I celebrate my one year anniversary with Philly PR Girl, I can’t help make another prediction….

Next year at this time, I have a feeling that both Philly PR Girl and JCMc will continue to take Philly by storm while wowing our respective readers with fabulous content! Here’s to a new year, new opportunities, and old friends!
